ANSWER: DECA was named Distributive Education Clubs of America in 1948, and was known by that name until 1991, when the Board of Directors decided that the name would be used in conjunction with the words, "An Association of Marketing Students."
QUESTION: Where is DECA based?
ANSWER: Reston, VA
QUESTION: What is Marketing Management?
ANSWER: Marketing Management is a High School career and technology education program for students interested in a career in marketing, merchandising and management, and entrepreneurship.
QUESTION: What is DECA?
ANSWER: DECA is the student organization for students enrolled in a Marketing Management program.
QUESTION: What is the purpose of DECA?
ANSWER: DECA provides opportunities for students to develop their leadership skills through chapter activities and competitive events in marketing and management.
QUESTION: What is the purpose of the Oklahoma DECA Career Development Conference?
ANSWER: The purpose of this conference is to allow Marketing Management students across the state to compete for the right to represent Oklahoma at the International Conference in their chosen field of marketing.
QUESTION: How many students are in attendance at this conference?
ANSWER: Between 800-900 students from approximately 60 schools in the state.
