In Northern Uganda there has been a war going on for over 20 years.  It is Africa's longest running war and has claimed the lives of thousands. In 2003, a film made by three young guys called "Invisible Children" showed the travesty of this war and the effect it was having on these people. Children are in danger of being abducted by the LRA (Lord's Resistance Army). If captured, they will be brainwashed to serve in the army or be killed. As a result, the economy suffers from battling in this war, and so does the educational system. That's why those young men created an Invisible Children Inc. This non-profit organization has started a program called schools for schools. In this program, schools partner up with schools in Uganda and help them by sending money from fundraisers they have done. Through this effort, Ugandans are able to purchase things needed for schools and ultimately for their education.
